Will AI take our jobs? A question I get asked on a regular basis. Work being such an important part of our lives, we want to know if Artificial Intelligence will make us superfluous.

I decided to research and share the latest stats on this sensitive subject. So should we all be afraid of losing our jobs? In my opinion, no. But we do need to catch up and study AI now, definitely!

Everybody will have to use AI in some shape or form in their jobs, better be well prepared. Yes, even Hollywood actors..

2023 is the year that AI started to go in overdrive. After its powerful introduction to the masses in 2021-2022, mostly by OpenAI’s ChatGPT, it now has a growing influence on various industries, the economy and workforce.

2/ 75% of AI consumers are concerned about misinformation by AI. Voting fraud, deep fakes and voice copy software make people worried about their safety.

3/ 64% of businesses expect AI to increase productivity. This demonstrates the growing confidence in AI’s potential to transform business operations.

4/ 25% of companies are adopting AI because of labor shortages. AI helps businesses optimise operations and compensate for the lack of Human Resources.

5/ 77% are concerned that AI will cause job loss in the next year. There is a widespread concern about the potential impact of technology on employment opportunities.

6/ As AI evolves, 400 million workers could be displaced because of AI. A McKinsey report predicts that between 2016 and 2030, AI-related advancements may affect around 15% of the global workforce.

7/ According to the World Economic Forum's research, AI is projected to create around 97 million new jobs, potentially countering [a part of] the workforce displacement concerns.
