Crypto has had its ups and downs
Crypto has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Be honest, did you make money on the ‘coin-that-nobody-knows-about-but-is-gonna-make-Shiba-Inu-look-like-a-turd’ - or lose money, like we all did? Fomo made crypto a trickery minefield. Where you could afford a Lamborghini one day, you could end up working at McDonalds the next.
The new craze? Artificial Intelligence, or AI for insiders. You know what I’m talking about ;-) The opportunities seem endless, science fiction becoming reality. A new fad in the making, right? Well, this time it could be different. According to our friends at Vox who interviewed Sandhya Venkatachalam, her firm was an early investor in OpenAI.
The most convincing evidence that AI is more than hype is that millions of people, including many who wouldn’t think of themselves as tech experts, are using Chat GPT for unexpected reasons. Job seekers are using it to avoid the dreaded task of writing a cover letter, Students to cheat their exams, and media companies to generate listicles and help with reporting the process.
This AI created artwork won the 1st prize at the Colorado State Fair.
The first thing people answer when you ask them; “What will AI do for humanity?” is: “AI will take all of our jobs”. Understandable as Artificial Intelligence is fairly new and opinions on the subject are like predictions from a Crystal Ball. Hazy.
That AI will be an assistant to existing jobs is however a 100% certainty. It’s coming for us fast, and it appears for some a bit too fast. At the Colorado State Fair, one artist didn’t make his entry with a brush or a lump of clay. He created it with Midjourney the AI program that turns lines of text (prompts) into hyper-realistic graphics.
His work took home the ‘Blue Ribbon’ in the digital category - making it one of the first AI generated pieces to take home such a prize. Other artists were pissed.
ChatGPT 3.5 is one of the newest tech tools of our generation… and already too slow for us highly developed humans. That’s why Microsoft announced its successor GPT-4. And it will be coming sooner than you think.
If all goes to plan the GPT-4 AI technology will be coming as early as next week. There will be multimodal models that offer completely different possibilities - for example video. Okay, count us in!
Users will be able to interact through multiple modes, including text, images, and sounds. It will also create answers faster, and will be more human-like. It will sound as if a human wrote the answers.
These changes will be available to Bing Chat in the near future.
