AI Chatbots Will Teach Kids to Read

AI chatbots will teach your kids to read and write in 18 months, this according to Bill Gates, the billionaire co-founder of Microsoft.

ChatGPT and Google's Bard are leading the AI charge and can already compete with humans on some tests.

AI chatbots will help children improve their reading and writing skills, something that computers have struggled with in the past.

However, some academics warn that AI is not yet perfect and can make errors.

Despite this, Gates is confident that AI will continue to improve and make private tutoring more accessible for all students.

It will be a game changer for world inequality, all countries will have access to top-notch teachers.

So, get ready to say goodbye to expensive human tutors and hello to the affordable and accessible world of AI tutoring!

Experts warn: AI creators must study consciousness

Dozens of academics from around the world are calling on artificial intelligence (AI) developers to learn more about consciousness, as AI systems become more advanced.

While experts agree that AI is nowhere near the level of sophistication to have human-level consciousness, it is rapidly evolving.

Sam Altman for example, OpenAI’s CEO openly admitted that some part of their AI chatbot ChatGPT is like a ‘black box’ - the team doesn’t fully understand how or why it gives certain answers.

The Association for Mathematical Consciousness Science (AMCS), which compiled the open letter, titled "The responsible development of AI agenda needs to include consciousness research", said it did not have a view on whether AI development in general should be paused.

But it pushed for a greater scientific understanding of consciousness, how it could apply to AI and how society might live alongside it.

With AI products being deployed in many sectors, including health research, marketing and finance, it is crucial to continue to raise awareness and encourage public debate about the development of AI.
